If you know anything about us, you know we’re big on making sure the couples we serve as wedding photographers and videographers are able to be fully present and enjoy their wedding day.
We hate the idea of one of the most important days of your lives feeling like a stressful, formal photoshoot where everyone suddenly forgets how to act. And having been in this industry for a number of years, we’ve seen countless ways vendors can make this special day more stressful when they should be helping to alleviate stress. Being married ourselves, we know one of the worst things as an engaged couple looking for a wedding photo and video team is having to explain every reference, joke, song, or Pinterest board you’ve ever saved. You shouldn’t have to tone yourself down because the photographer or videographer in the room feels like someone’s grandma (no disrespect, we love grandmas).
This is where hiring a Gen Z wedding photography and videography team makes a difference.
We grew up with the same shows, books, songs, and slightly unhinged internet humor, and that means there’s no translation required.
One of the best parts of having a team your age at your wedding is that you can fully be yourself.
You can make the joke. You can hit that one dance move. You can let us know about the TikTok you want to make and trust that we’ll know how to capture it.
Your friends don’t suddenly have to become the most filtered, well-behaved version of themselves because there are older adults standing around with cameras.
We’re not there to judge you. We’re there to capture you.
The real laughs. The inside jokes. The chaotic dance floor. The friend who somehow ends up giving an emotional speech after three drinks. The little moments that would never happen if everyone felt like they were being watched by an authority figure.
Your wedding isn’t a corporate event.
You shouldn’t have to act like it is.
Okay, maybe we don’t become your actual best friends overnight, but it often feels that way.
There’s an ease that comes from being around people who just get it.
You don’t have to explain why you want a certain shot to feel like a movie scene. You don’t have to justify why you want a video that feels more like a music video than a traditional wedding film. You can just say, “I want it to feel like this,” and we’ll know exactly what you mean.

Your wedding vision is influenced by everything you’ve consumed your entire life, as well as the trends that have developed in this generation.
We grew up with those same influences, and we understand current trends without you having to explain them five times to someone who has never even opened TikTok or doesn’t know what a Reel is.
So whether your vision is influenced by your childhood favorites, a new trend, or a little bit of both, we’ll get it.
You don’t want a photographer who says they love every idea just because they’re trying to book you. We’re not those people. (And if you’ve met us, you know that lol.)
You want someone who genuinely understands the aesthetic you’re going for without you having to spend hours explaining it.
Our style comes from the same cultural world you live in. The way we shoot, edit, direct, and tell stories is influenced by the things we actually love.
The internet has practically raised us, so when we’re planning your day with you, we’re not trying to imitate or keep up with trends we don’t understand.
We’re pulling from the same visuals, videos, and language that shaped your vision.
Weddings are changing. They always will be.
And while we respect our elders (lol), older wedding photographers and videographers tend to have a harder time keeping up. They’ve mastered the posed photos, and those are great, but we’ve gotten to a point where couples want to feel something more when they look back on their wedding memories. We’ve had countless other teams and individuals reach out to us for advice, and we’re happy to help, but for couples searching for the right team, we think the less you have to explain, the better.
We want the big moments, obviously. But we also want the little, seemingly insignificant ones.
The blurry dance photos or couple-running photos. The candid laughs. The weird little interactions nobody else noticed. The outfit details and the beautiful chaos of getting ready. The photos with your friends that actually feel like you, instead of everyone standing perfectly still and smiling at the camera (but we do get those photos too).
We want wedding photos and films that feel like genuine memories, not commercials. We want you to look back on your day and feel like you’re there again, not like you’re posing for a wedding ad.
Being young doesn’t mean we take your wedding less seriously. If anything, we understand how important it is to make the day feel personal. Your wedding doesn’t have to follow someone else’s idea of what a wedding should look like.
It can be chaotic, emotional, romantic, funny, nostalgic, weird, dramatic, or all of the above, and your photography and videography team should understand that. We’re not just documenting any wedding; we’re capturing your wedding and whatever that looks like for you.
We’re not here to compete with the wedding industry. We’re here to change who’s winning.
The new generation isn’t coming for a seat at the table. We’re building a new table.
When you hire a Gen Z photography and videography team, you’re getting the total package. We’ve learned the basics of capturing a wedding day well. All the knowledge and skill you’d get with an older team, you have with us, because those are the people that raised us. But as we mentioned earlier in this post, we also had our phones and iPods. We had technology and grew with it, so we understand it more than anyone else.
When you hire a Gen Z team, you’re hiring people who speak your visual language. People who understand the references. People who understand why that one song absolutely has to be in the wedding film. People who see your vision because, in a lot of ways, we grew up inside the same vision.
And on a day that’s supposed to feel completely, unapologetically you, that makes all the difference.
xx
